There’s something different about sleeping out here.
On a still night, there’s a silence people notice. Open the curtains and the sky might be full of stars, the moon lighting the Atlantic and the Skelligs eight miles offshore as clear as day.
Another night, you might not see beyond the fence. The wind might whistle around the house, a gale might blow in off the Atlantic and the rain sound against the glass. Then it passes. The sky changes. And there’s something rather comforting about being tucked up inside while nature carries on outside.
That’s the thing about nights here. No two are quite the same.
We’re in an International Dark Sky Reserve, surrounded by pure Atlantic air and very little artificial light or pollution. Sometimes that means darkness and complete silence. Sometimes moonlight across the ocean. Sometimes weather worth staying awake for.
So, if the stars keep you up until midnight, stay up. If the weather wakes you, listen to it. And if you’re tired tomorrow, have a nap.

NATURALLY COMFORTABLE
Inside, everything is about warmth, comfort and natural materials.
We’ve chosen good linen, cotton, bamboo and other natural fabrics for how they feel against your skin and how they breathe. The beds, mattresses, toppers, towels and robes have all been carefully considered, tried and chosen for one simple reason — they feel good.
Timber, stone and Valentia slate bring the natural character of the place inside, while the Old House takes its inspiration from the original farmhouse built here in 1842.
Wherever we could, original materials have been carefully retained, restored or given a new purpose, alongside pieces that carry the history and character of the farm.
Comfortable. Uncluttered. Natural.
Tomorrow can wait.
A PLACE TO REST
There are five dedicated en-suite bedrooms, each with its own character, outlook and connection to the surrounding landscape.
Then there’s the Udder Room — named after its original life as the farm’s milking shed. A large, fully accessible, multipurpose space that can also become another bedroom when needed.
Some rooms look towards the Atlantic and the Skelligs, others across the mountains and land. Some have balconies. All are designed around warmth, comfort and simplicity.
Good bed linen. Good towels. Comfortable robes. Everything you need.
And very little that you don’t.
THE OLD HOUSE - FIRST FLOOR
