We want to say a huge thank you for all the amazing comments, letters of support and feedback in response to our planning application to Kerry County Council. We didn’t receive a single objection to our proposal for Allagheemore and we are very grateful for the support from the local community.
We have now been asked to provide more information across four areas to the County Council, namely an Archaeological Impact Assessment Report, Environmental Impact Assessment Report, wastewater treatment proposals and our plans to provide accommodation.
We’re confident that these documents will help to alleviate any concerns that the Council may have and we’ve already started working on our responses, which will be submitted in the coming weeks. Hopefully, these will be assessed positively so that the proposals can be approved in the next few months.
We’ll be having another stakeholder meeting down at the Glen Community Centre during Summer 2021, during which our intention is to pool together local resources to explore how we can develop the retreat together. All thoughts and ideas will be welcomed and we look forward to hearing the thoughts of local people.
We’re also pleased to have been able to launch this initial introductory website, which showcases our plans for Skelligs Retreat. We will be updating the site with more details and the full offering of activities later in the year.
In the meantime if you have any questions, thoughts, proposals or simply want to REGISTER YOUR INTEREST, please don’t hesitate to get in touch HERE.
